Chicago

In September we were able to make a quick trek up to Chicago for my cousin Josh's wedding. It was wonderful to be able to be there to support them as they began their life together. We arrived just as their pre-wedding picnic was ending. It was at a beautiful park and the weather was great. The wedding and all the festivities were in Geneva, a suburb of Chicago. After the picnic Mom, Chip, Scott and I headed to downtown Chicago for a night out on the town. We had a fun time walking around Michigan Avenue, and we were able to stop by to visit a Swiss Chocolate shop that a friend of the Frohardts owns. We missed seeing him, but tried some of the imported Swiss choclates and really enjoyed them! We enjoyed walking down to Lake Michigan, eating real Chicago-style pizza, and driving by Navy Pier.

The next day before the wedding, we had time to stop by and relax at a nice park with a windmill. Then we stopped by the cute oldtown Geneva. We enjoyed some coffee, but relized we were a little too early on a Sunday for the stores to be opened.

It was an afternoon wedding and it was such a special ceremony. It was a lemon and lime themed wedding, with quite a few bridesmaids and groomsman but you could tell they were surrounded by people they loved. You could tell that Josh and Allie were so excited to start their new life together and it was very apparent that the Lord will be leading them on their new adventure.

The reception was a lot of fun!
