Charleston

We had a very fun time visiting Charleston for our friend's wedding. Billy and Jennie Evans were married at the Citadel Chapel on June 2 and it was absolutely beautiful. Billy is another instructor with Scott. I hope they have a wonderful life together. Travis and Amanda Elliott were very hospitable by letting us stay with them. We got there just in time for Tropical Storm Berry, so there was a lot of rain and mud. On the way home from dinner one night we saw a stranded 4 Runner that had been off-roading, and tried to pull it out with Travis's Jeep. Lots of fun, but we had to wait for a Hummer to pull it out. Charleston is a beautiful city. It was fun to shop in the open air market and walk on the waterfront by Battery Park.

We were also fortunate enough to see T.J. and Michelle Huxel. He was flying the C-5 but is now flying the C-17 so they just moved there from Dover, Deleware. They have a beautiful new house and Michelle is making it into such a nice home. It was great to see friends, and it's too bad we can't all live closer. It's always wonderful to be able to catch up and see where life takes them.
