Random Winter Happenings

Like our goofy rosemary Christmas tree? We always get potted ones in hope that they will live through our trip to Colorado, but this year it died before we left. Oh well, it smelled great while we had it!

Winter in Columbus is anything but snowy, but there's still a lot to enjoy during the season. We went to the Columbus tree lighting, and Base tree lighting, which helped us get into the Christmas spirit. I love the way old-town Columbus was decorated.

On the same day we all decorated the Chapel, we were able to go and help out the Palmer Home. It's an alternative to foster care, and is a place where children can stay until they are either adopted or turn 18, and therefore they no longer have to move from foster home to foster home. It was neat to interact with a family that has 3 biological girls and then takes care of 6 other girls. We did odd jobs, including painting and organizing their linen closet. It was a great way to begin the Christmas season.

It was also a lot of fun to have some of my Beans and Cream staff over for a dessert party. All you need for a good time is friends or family and sweets:)

We had a fun time at the annual 48th Christmas party. It was again at Old Waverly which is always so beautiful and a perfect place to go when you want to get all dressed up:) It was our last chance to go to the Christmas party because who knows where we'll be next year! In a nutshell, that's what we've been up to, but most of all we've been getting excited to visit Colorado for Christmas. The last picture is one of the ones this guy took for a Christmas picture. Not the one we picked, but I still think it's patriotic. Happy winter!
